Over recent years, we have commenced programs to improve animal and human welfare through education and interaction. Our Education Team collaborate with several agencies to provide specific programs that teaches young people about animal welfare and how to care for animals. As a part of our youth initiatives, we partner with specific organisations to bring young people to our shelter where they learn the practical skills needed to provide care and enrichment for animals in RSPCA NSW shelter. All the animals we work with have a background story, allowing participants in our youth program to explore animal mental health, as well as intrinsically learn about their own mental health by seeing improvements in the animals in our care. To find out more about these programs or to speak to one of our staff about your organisation or an individual who has a keen interest in animals and how we may be able to assist, please email our RSPCA NSW education team at education@rspcansw.org.au Youth Initiatives FAQsHow can I get a young person involved in one of these programs?
