What other animal lovers say about

leaving a gift in their Will to RSPCA NSW

Follow the steps below to see how you can leave animals with a better world

  • Consider your loved ones and causes that matter most +

This is probably the most powerful gift you can ever make. Think about your family, friends and the charitable causes that have meant so much to you in your lifetime.

  • Decide what your gift to RSPCA NSW will be +

Residual: the most effectual way to support the animals is by leaving RSPCA the whole, or a percentage of the remainder of your estate after you have provided for your loved ones.
Percentage: a percentage of your total estate, allowing your gift to maximise as your estate matures.
Specific: a fixed sum of money or assets, including property, investments or shares.

  • Make or update your Will +

We recommend that you seek independent legal advice to ensure your Will is legal, valid and represents your intentions. If you are including a gift to RSPCA NSW in your Will, make sure you use the correct wording.

  • Notify your loved ones and RSPCA NSW +

Leaving a gift to the animals in your Will is such a wonderfully generous thing to do. Why not tell your loved ones of the amazing difference you will make in the lives of animals in need with your gift – and share the love you have for animals with them.

If you are comfortable, we’d love for you to tell us too so we can thank you in person. You can also receive updates on how gifts like yours are truly making a better world for the animals in our care.

  • Plan for your pets+

Pets are cherished family members so it’s important to safeguard their future should something happen to you. The Home Ever After program can help

You would have given the second chance they deserve – you would have given them a better life and changed their world forever.
Gifts left in Wills help us provide for almost two out of every three animals who come through our doors every year. They make a huge difference and give us the confidence to know we can continue to help those in need for many years to come.

Thank you for considering leaving a gift in your Will. Together, we can create a future free from cruelty for the animals we love so much

Yes, please! If you are comfortable to do so, please let us know. This gives us the chance to say thank you, keep you up to date with news and stories from RSPCA NSW, and involve you and your family in relevant special events throughout the year.

Additionally, because it is increasingly common in NSW for Wills to be contested, any intentions voiced during your lifetime help support your choices, should they ever be questioned after your passing.  Email us at  or call us on (02) 9782 4419 today to let us know your intentions.

If you have already made your Will and do not plan on updating it, making an amendment could be as easy as preparing a codicil to include a gift in your Will to RSPCA NSW. However, we do recommend you seek independent professional advice to ensure that any additional wishes are expressed correctly.

You don’t need to be wealthy to leave a gift to RSPCA NSW in your Will. Leaving just a small percentage in your Will goes a long way. People often find they can afford to be more generous with a gift in their Will than they are able during their lifetime.

How can we help you?
