What’s more, they’re an incredible opportunity for participating staff to bond as a team. They are available at the RSPCA NSW Blue Mountains Shelter, Hunter Shelter, Illawarra Shelter and Sydney Shelter. Participants begin the day with an educational workshop to learn more about animal wellbeing and the work of RSPCA NSW. This is followed by a guided behind-the-scenes tour of the shelter and veterinary hospital. Participants then help out with maintenance and upkeep tasks around the shelter, and provide some one-on-one human interaction to our shelter animals. These socialisation experiences are invaluable to the animals, particularly those needing the extra support while they wait for their forever homes.
