RSPCA NSW cares for abandoned, neglected, sick and surrendered animals across the state. category1category2 Reset RSPCA Million Paws Walk is back in 2022 Date Updated: Mar 23, 2022 Australia’s largest walk for animal welfare, RSPCA Million Paws Walk, is returning on Sunday 29 May 2022. Thousands of tails are wagging in anticipation for the 2022 edition of RSPCA NSW’s biggest fundraiser, which will take place in eight locations across New South Wales. Get in early and sign up before Monday 28 March to receive a barking mad discount of 50% off. There is something for everyone this year as there is also a virtual alternative that will challenge dog lovers to walk 30 minutes every day in May and raise funds to fight animal cruelty. “The Million Paws Walk is an opportunity for families and their pooches to get together for a really fun day out, whilst raising much-needed funds for RSPCA NSW”, says RSPCA NSW Community Fundraiser Manager, Ben Wilheim. “We are so excited to be able to run these events with our supporters again. After a couple of years break, Million Paws Walk 2022 is set to be bigger and better than ever!” Each year, RSPCA NSW provides care to over 30,000 animals. Funds raised from Million Paws Walk events are vital in keeping RSPCA NSW shelters operating and RSPCA NSW inspectors on the road, to investigate animal cruelty across the state. This fundraiser is also pivotal in funding RSPCA NSW education programs, which focus on breaking cycles of abuse and neglect. Walk locations in NSW: Sydney – Sydney Olympic Park Shoalhaven – Lions Park, Burrill Lake Blue Mountains – Melrose Park, Katoomba Central West – Lawson Park, Mudgee Bathurst – Macquarie River Bicentennial Park Illawarra – Reddall Reserve, Lake Illlawarra Broken Hill – Zinc Lakes, Broken Hill Hunter – Speers Point Park, Speers Point Over 8,000 pet-owners and their pooches are anticipated to put their paws to a good cause at the Sydney Olympic Park event.
