Little bit about Joy, the Rescuoodle

Hi there! I’m Joy, a sweet and loving three-legged Labrador looking for a forever home where I can feel safe and cherished.

I get along with dogs and would love to meet any resident fur babies for a play date to ensure we get along just fine. I’m also comfortable with meeting new people, but I can be a bit nervous initially. I’m learning how to trust, and my family can show you how to handle me as we continue building a bond together. I’d thrive in a home where the humans are patient and understanding, and I’d prefer not to live with older, calm children, as I’m still working on my confidence and comfort around new situations, sudden movements and sounds.

I’ll need a family who’s home more often than not, at least while I’m settling in and adjusting to my new surroundings. It would be great if I had access to both indoor and outdoor spaces—living in an apartment isn’t ideal for me, especially since I have only three legs. Stairs can be tough, and I don’t want to risk overexerting myself, so a home with a yard instead would be perfect! As a Labrador, I need plenty of mental and physical stimulation. I love being active, whether that means a good walk, some fetch, or a fun puzzle to keep my brain sharp. I’ll be your loyal companion through thick and thin, and I just know we’ll create a special bond as I settle into my new home. I can't wait to meet you!
