Little bit about Xander, the Rescuoodle

Hi I'm Xander!

I’ve spent most of my life in the shelter, but now I’m ready to find my forever family. I’m a sweet and smart boy, and while I may need a little time to adjust, I promise I’m quick to learn and eager to please. I love cuddles and neck scratches—they’re my absolute favourite! I’ll happily snuggle up next to you while we relax together, whether it’s on the couch or during a quiet walk.

One of my absolute favourite things to do is spend time in or near water. I love to dig in it, explore it, and even take a quick dip. Whether it’s a shell pool or a calm spot for a splash, I’m in my happy place when I’m around water.

Since I’ve spent a lot of time in the shelter, I’ll need a patient family who can help me adjust to home life. I’m food-motivated, which makes training easier, and I’m eager to learn new things—especially if treats are involved! While I’m making progress, I will need some ongoing guidance as I get used to my new routine and environment.

It’s important to note that I’m not a fan of other dogs, so I would prefer to be the only pet in the home. I’m looking for a calm, quiet space where I can feel safe, explore, and enjoy time with my person. After a fun day of adventures, nothing makes me happier than curling up for a cuddle with you. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who just needs a little extra care and attention to feel at home, I might just be the perfect match for you!
