Meet Remi

Little bit about Remi, the Rescuoodle

Hi! The names Remi. I’m a young true blue Aussies cattle cross who loves nothing more than to explore new places with my friends, the staff at the shelter. They often tell me how brave I am when I’m climbing on top of the huge mountain that is apparently “Just a tire Remi”. Ahh well, that doesn’t matter because I’m just like Steve Erwin, stalking my toys and pouncing on them when they least expected it. Although there is heaps of time for fun and games at the shelter I do have to attend “school”. I know, boring right? Recently I’ve been learning about ways to relax and calm myself in situations that I find stressful, which is most of them ʕ•́ᴥ•̀ʔっ. I have been getting better and more confident slowly, but my friend told me I still have a long ways to go. Not to worry I’ve also been informed that my new family will help me get better. Hopefully that’s you, yes you, the hooman reading this portfolio. Now let’s get into the important stuff. As you could probably tell, I’m not the most confident pupper. A lot of patience and time is needed to help me improve, and as we all know, that is something that young children usually don’t possess. There is a restriction on my adoption of no children under the age of 12, sorry kids but your grabby hands are just too much for me. I also sometimes get very worried when I’m left alone, I have heard that some people are able to work from home or are home most of the time and this sounds great, I’ll get all day to explore and play with you, but you may need to tell me when its time to go down for a nap. Also, a nice secure back yard that I have access to and the ability to come inside and rest by your feet in front of the TV or snuggle up in my bed with all my toys so you can admire my natural beauty seems great to me. Now I do need to let you know I’m not very comfortable around other animals in the home but between you and me this sounds pretty good because I’ll get all your love and attention. Requirements:

–         Children 12 yrs or older.

–         Will require encouragement, patience, and guidance in or around novel environments or objects.

–         Someone home most/all of the time.

–         Needs daily ongoing learning opportunities and would benefit from working alongside a positive based trainer.

–         Indoor and outdoor access.

–         Must be only pet.

–         Solid secure fencing.
